LIBRARY MANAGER  
Kingsthorpe Parish Council seeks a Library Manager, and we are looking for someone who: 
 
• Has the ability to lead, manage and motivate two members of staff and volunteers in providing a 
customer focused and responsive service 
• Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and enjoys engaging with people and building 
relationships 
• Is proactive and able to promote innovative ideas that will increase the use of the library 
• Has the IT knowledge required to support, assist, and train staff and customers in using various forms of 
technology 
• Has the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively to ensure that both individual and team goals 
are achieved 
• Has the necessary communication and partnership working skills to work effectively in helping to 
enhance and improve the Library 
 
Hours: 35 hours per week (Tuesday – Saturday) Flexibility is essential. However, to meet the needs of the Library service it will include covering one evening until 7pm and working up to three Saturdays per month (9.30am-2.30pm) 
 
Salary: £33,500 - £36,500 pro-rata depending on experience and qualifications, plus 25 days leave (pro-rata) and a Pension Scheme
